Semi-classical analysis and passive imaging
Passive imaging is a new technique which has been proved to be very
efficient, for example in seismology: the correlation of the noisy fields,
computed from the fields recorded at different points, is strongly related to
the Green function of the wave propagation. The aim of this paper is to provide
a mathematical context for this approach and to show, in particular, how the
methods of semi-classical analysis can be be used in order to find the

Spectral problems in open quantum chaos
This review article will present some recent results and methods in the study
of 1-particle quantum or wave scattering systems, in the semiclassical/high
frequency limit, in cases where the corresponding classical/ray dynamics is
chaotic. We will focus on the distribution of quantum resonances, and the
structure of the corresponding metastable states. Our study includes the toy
model of open quantum maps, as well as the recent quantum monodromy operator

Moyal star product approach to the Bohr-Sommerfeld approximation
The Bohr-Sommerfeld approximation to the eigenvalues of a one-dimensional
quantum Hamiltonian is derived through order (i.e., including the
first correction term beyond the usual result) by means of the Moyal star
product. The Hamiltonian need only have a Weyl transform (or symbol) that is a
power series in , starting with , with a generic fixed point in
phase space. The Hamiltonian is not restricted to the kinetic-plus-potential
form. The method involves transforming the Hamiltonian to a normal form, in
which it becomes a function of the harmonic oscillator Hamiltonian.
Diagrammatic and other techniques with potential applications to other normal
form problems are presented for manipulating higher order terms in the Moyal
